Other Factors, hook?:
-I have suffered from mental health issues (depression, anxiety, ADHD) and overcome many struggles throughout high school. I have a very interesting story about my personal growth and maturity. Freshman and soph year i got low 90's but junior year I finally got myself together and found a way to handle my troubles, resulting in high 90's. I made a drastic improvement through school which is visible in my records.

I think you have a great chance of getting into all of these schools. I mean, UCLA and UMich are public schools and you are OOS, which puts you at a disadvantage, but I still think that with your test scores and ECs, you definitely have a shot. You have an even better shot at USC and NYU since those are large private schools that don’t discriminate between in-state and OOS. I can honestly say that I would be shocked if you didn’t get into at least one of those schools. Just make sure you write a strong essay! Best of luck!! :)

Thank you Gold Owl!

You should apply to U of I too. You have a good shot for those schools but The OOS publics will be expensive! Btw, low 90’s aren’t bad…

Rolando4,
I know low 90’s aren’t bad, but for the schools I am applying for I felt I needed to do better. I have looked at U of I and it’s not very appealing to me. I want to go somewhere that my highschool does not typically feed into and a very large majority of my school ends up there. Thank you for that recommendation though, do you know any others that are similar to the schools I listed?

by the way-- if anyone could chance me even though others have I would really appreciate it. I am extremely stressed about applying because I have been having trouble finding schools I like and still have no idea what I want to do with my life. Basically the chancing gives me a more realistic outlook! Thanks again :)
