Chances for USC (Southern California)

<p>I did post this in the USC board but I'm not sure if it's really active...so I'm posting here too!</p>

<p>I only applied to USC because my parents wanted me to...I wasn't really "into it" that much. Now, however, I really want to get in and am super worried about it...</p>

<p>How do you think my chances look?</p>

<p>-GPA: 3.6 UW, 4.1 W
-SAT: 2160
-Major: won't say what it is, but it's something that not a lot of people go into. My extracurriculars and high school courses also "reinforce" my chosen major.
-African-American
-Great high school
-lots of community service
-pretty good EC's
-California resident</p>

<p>What do you think?</p>

<p>Also, how are the financial aid packages for students of households with fairly high incomes? My parents (and I) are worried that I will mostly be getting loans instead of grants/other things that don't need to be paid back. I know that USC meets 100% of financial need...but can I expect a bunch of loans? </p>

<p>Not only are you a URM but you have high SATs for USC. Your GPA is a little low but I think that USC is definitely a match. You have over a 50 % chance of getting in in my opinion. Good luck!
