Chances for Wharton and Harvard

GPA: 4.0
GPA (UW): 4.595

Only 3 AP's so far: AP Computer Science (5), English (5), AP Calculus AB (5)
AP's in progress: AP Literature, AP Government, AP Calculus BC
Community College Course: Probability and Statistics (A - 4.0 UC-transferrable credits).

SAT:
Verbal: 800
Math: 800
Writing: 720

SAT II's:
Math II: 800
Literature: 730
US History: We'll see - I don't think I'll get more than a 750

EC's:

Summer Camp Counselor: 4 years; 30 hours/week; 4 weeks/year

Tutor: 3 years; 2 hours/week; 40 weeks/year

Church Stuff (Retreat Leader, Youth Group Co-Leader): 4 years; 4 hours/week; 52 weeks/year

(Add it up and it's like 1500 hours or something, I dunno)

Work Experience: 8 hours a week at an after-school program

Track: last 2 years (I couldn't do anything 9/10th grade, because I tore my meniscus and my wonderful doctor told me that it wasn't bad enough for surgery but bad bad enough that I should take it easy for a year; Should I tell them this in the "Additional Info" section or something?)

Newspaper: last 2 years (not allowed to do until junior year): Featured "Conservative" columnist, although at my school, "Conservative" means Non-Marxist...

I really just want to know what my shots are at Wharton and Harvard - I know I don't have many EC's and not that many AP's, but my test scores and GPA are good...just wanted to see what all the CCers thought.

On a side note, my safeties are UC's

Gender and ethnicity?
Competitiveness of high school? Location?
Class rank and size?

Oh, sorry, I totally forgot.

I'm a Male Egyptian (first-generation, if that helps)

My high school (located in Bay Area) isn't that competitive. With my GPA I'm rank 1 out of 210, although we don't rank, show it'll show up as top 10%.

We haven't sent a kid to HYP in about 10 years, Penn in 5, other ivies in 2 or 3, although we did send a kid to Stanford last year. About 50 out of 200 students end up going to UCLA or UC Berkeley (last year, 43 did).

im confused. UW GPA higher than weighted?

otherwise, definitely great chances at Wharton. EC's don't really demonstrate passion for business, however.

I can't see why you would not be accepted anywhere other than not enough leadership. Otherwise you're pretty damn good
