Hey.. I would appreciate if you guys give me some chances and tell me some reaches, and matches.
I want to major in maybe Biology. I would like to become a dentist so I'm looking in that direction. I will early decision to a reach school for sure, one that I think will fit me. (ALSO
I'm actually still a junior so the gpa for 11th grade is predicted, but very realistic.) SAT score is from practice tests.

Rank: 20 out of 500 top 4%
GPA overall: 99.2 4.6 weighted upward trend
9th grade: 93.097 (slacked major time)
10th grade: 100.3
11th grade: 103.1
SATs: 2250 1490 M/V
All honors with like two cp (college prep below honors) in 9th grade and one ap in 10th, two in 11th, and about to take 5 in senior year. I got 4, 4, and 5 for my scores.
I'm Chinese, have a green card so not international, english as second language, and low income.

ECs: (very weak I know) In 9th grade, I didn't join any clubs.. I'm very mad at myself. The clubs will be two/three years if I'm able to join it before applying to my ed school next year.
NHS 2 years
Interact 3 years
Science Club 3 years
Asian Club 3 years
Student Council 2 years
75 hours volunteering

for colleges I just have a small list feel free to add..
Cornell.. (eh idk)
Rutgers
Lehigh

I've worked at a small computer store, fixing computers and etc. I've also managed a cleaners, not as small as you may think, with at least 13 employees working there right now. So it is like at least as large as your local Mcdonalds in terms of employees. I have to work to support my family, because we do indeed have a low income. This might have affected my grades, ecs and etc since I work on weekdays aswell.

I have an unusual sitituation in that, at the begining of 10th grade I had to return to China. My dad was in very bad shape in terms of his health. I stayed there for almost 7 months so I didn't return to finish 10th grade. I couldn't go to any school in China, since the international schools cost 10k+ a year and the local schools obviously aren't the best. So I returned this school year and retook my 10th grade year. That experience really helped me though, and helped me gain motivation to do much better in school. (BTW during my time there I taught kids english) But yeah I don't know how colleges will look at this whole mess..

Well, I'm not sure if I can get into them, but for reaches I'm interested in Cornell, Georgetown, John Hopkins, and maybe UPenn. I know UPenn is like uber hard to get into but it's like 30 minutes from where I live, my dad who is now in bettter shape really wants me to go there, and also my sister is currently going there for undergrad. For safeties or low reaches I probaly will just apply to like Penn State, Rutgers New Brunswick, NYU (not really a safety since it is still selective..), and I'm not sure about the rest.

You should definitely be good at lehigh and rutgers. My brother got in to both and he had weaker SAT scores, GPA, and ECs than you. Hell, he even got reduced tuition at both(down to 20k at lehigh and in-state at rutgers).

Since I'm still a junior, what are some things I could do to improve my chances at some of these schools? The GPA and SAT will probaly only increase slightly but not much. Should I do a summer program at like a decently selective school? Take community classes during the school year? Or like should I specifically try to volunteer or work at a dental clinic, since I want to be a dentist?

Getting extra volunteer hours won't hurt too right? Kind of off topic I know, but I didn't want to make another thread just to ask these questions.

Summer program, internship - things to occupy your time with in the summer. Extra volunteer hours won't hurt, but with people having hundreds of hours, I'm not sure that it'll be worth it; you'll probably have a better chance in devoting that time to other things.

So I shouldn't try to take community college courses? Classes that aren't available in my school. This wouldn't help me if I aced these classes?

SAT too low. Get a 2400. I'm kind of serious here. Low income definately helps so does working to help your family. With some prep 2400 is possible. Get teh online course pm me for some info. Uhh yeah. Try to get a 2400. As for the summer internship stuff, most of stuff like that costs around 4k which si why i didn't do it. my chinese blood forbid me from paying so much.

Your rank is tuff enough. Just get that sat up. well you might not have much time, but try to devote like an hour a day if you can for a 2-3 monhts.

I'll work on the SATs, any other opinions?

Also note for my 9th grade slacking, both my grand mother and uncle passed away this year.. so it was pretty depressing for me. But if I try to explain that situation, will universities think I'm looking for sympathy? I don't know...

How about winning a small science fair? (Not much competition though, it's not even state level just like from two or three counties in my state. A lot of homeschoolers.) Should I not even bother to enter? Also will getting into Varsity tennis this year for junior and next year for senior help my chances or no? What sport should I do that's different since an Asian usually plays tennis...
