My teacher recs should be good (AP Calc teacher and tennis coach / AP US History teacher). I also should be recieving a letter of recommendation for HMC from a graduate who was one of my counselors at SIMUW.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Just bumping this up.

IANAAO, and therefore my opinion is worth what you've paid for it.

I'd say you are a good prospect for R-H. Probably GTech, too, but I don't really know as much about them (son didn't want to go to the south). HMC and Olin are a lottery for everyone. Your current test scores are lower than average for HMC, and who knows about Olin? I'd say you have a shot at both of them, but certainly not as good as R-H and probably GTech. Good luck.

(I admire the confidence of our younger forummates who can instantly assign "match," "reach" &c based on a cursory examination of some numbers and some superficial bio information. I remember being that sure of myself...)

Yeah, hopefully my SAT scores will go up with the November testing, but I think that my essays and recommendations will help me stand out.

Bumping this up.

I really don't don't know much about HMC or Olin but I do know a little about GaTech and Rose-Hulman. A couple of my friends are applying to GaTech, and I think you'll get in fine. You'll probably get in to RH-send in the app quick and you'll find out quick. I recieved my acceptance letter this week and had sent in the app in October. Your scores and extracurriculars stomp mine so you should not have a problem. Good Luck.

I know a little about Olin. My daughter will graduate from Olin in May.

Your stats, etc., seem very comparable to Olin students.

Thanks for your guy's comments. Anymore?

One last bump.
