CHANCE:
Johns Hopkins
UChicago
Wesleyan
Rice
HYP(too high?)
Columbia(too high?)

Well all in all, great. Just get your SAT II’s and your SAT CR up, biggie there. Though being or not being ranked 1 makes a BIG difference bud! That seriously needs to be confirmed!

Johns Hopkins- low mid reach (not entirely just a low reach, but pretty much)
UChicago- Reach (scores and stuff in range, EC’s are in ‘level’)
Wesleyan- I’d like to say the same as JHU, though I’m not exactly sure about the LACs.
Rice- Reach (Same as Chicago)
HYP(too high?)- no, not really. If you confirm rank #1 and boost your SATs, they’re ok. Though you wouldn’t be one of their ‘stellar’ apps.
Columbia(too high?) - again, the same, though you’d be an average/slightly below average app here

I’d suggest Cornell, Georgetown, Northwestern, and CMU as well though, they’re all within the same reasonable reaches as JHU, UChicago, and Rice.

Btw^ Don’t send ACTs unless you get em to like 33-34.

That up there was my 600th post btw! =DDD

Do you have any safeties? The schools you want chanced are all reaches of some sort (so yes, I concur with Honorlions).

SAFETIES
University of Texas at Austin
Texas A&M
Southwestern
McGill, possibly

UT Austin’s a pretty respectable college from what I hear, I wouldn’t just label it as a safety. Nevertheless, I’d say it’s a low reach (pretty much in actually).

McGill’s also a top of the line school in Canada, but like the rest of the schools you mentioned as safeties, I don’t know enough about it to say much.

^I think the OP lives in Texas, so its the 8% rule or something like that which means guaranteed admission. Correct me if I’m wrong. You should retake your SAT’s caz of you CR score. It’s not bad, but your chances increase a lot if you could get that > 730ish. And nice job on 800 on APUSH, I don’t see that score a lot. You don’t need to retake both math 1 and 2, you should just retake math 2. Colleges like to see that subject test more than math 1. Btw, valedictorian and student goverment = :slight_smile:
John Hopkins=match
Rice=low reach
UChicago=high-match/low reach
I feel you should apply to a couple Ivy’s but don’t overdo it. You don’t want to look back and say, “What could of been?” If you were to apply to ivies…
Cornell-low reach
Columbia-mid-reach but you never know
Brown-mid-reach
Good Luck :)
