Chances I can get in?

Also, what are the chances I can get into the University itself and not direct admission into the business school
I am going to apply to the McCombs Business School in Texas
I am asian and from New Jersey

My sats aren't that stellar
SAT
M:720
CR-490
W-660

ACT-30

GPA-3.69

Course Load -
5 AP this yr including Econ, Enviro Science, and Stat
12 AP's/HONORS all together

Clubs/Activities wise - It's ok...nothing Major...I volunteer every week and go to two clubs a week

THANK-YOU ....I really Appreciate it if you can help me out

rank? 10 char

OOS and McCombs don't go well together...
It's all about the class rank. Better be in the top 1-2% to have a shot. :)

GL getting into McCombs with that ACT score OOS, regardless of rank. I am not sure about getting into the school. 30 ACT and decent rank is probably average for UT OOS. There is a huge surplus of asians, so that won't help you or hurt you so I would say 50/50 for the school.

You haven't told us your class rank and with a 3.69 GPA I highly doubt your in the top 5% of your class which I think is critical if you want a chance as an OOS. Honestly, top 5% may not cut it though.

490 CR score = fat chance

Unless you bring that WAY up, I can't say you'd have a good chance even as a Texan, unless you are out of state.

If you are international and have a good TOEFL score, that may be an exception.

Don't send them your SAT scores. You can use ACT instead.

They take the best of the 2.

You don't really have a chance of getting into McCombs. I know of several people who were in the top 2-3% that didn't get in and I think their SAT scores were higher.

Your ACT is ok, but your gpa is not very good.

Go ahead and apply and see what happens.

Good Luck!
