So here is my situation. I have 4 3's, one 2 and one 1 for ap tests. For some reason I just suck at them. However, I have an sat of 2200+ and sat subject math 2 710 and chem 710. I also have a 3.87/4.19 gpa. I am the captain of my science olympiad and RWDC team and I also intern at Nasa during this summer of my junior year and plan to again during the school year(hopefully). I took calculus BC as a sophmore and got a B in the class but a 1 on the exam. Then I took calc 3 as a junior and aced the class because I decided to start to study. So since there are 8 slots ont he common app for sat 2/ap scores I have decided to not show my 1 on the ap calc test. However I am showing the 2 from world history to be honest with them. So I was wondering, if my current stats would enable me to attend MIT, Princeton, Caltech, Columbia, UMCP, GAtech, UC Berkely, Stanford and Duke? Thank you guys for your input and if it is possible, if you attended these schools could you tell me your stats that got you in. Thanks guys

You have great stats, and I think you have a fair chance at the schools! ( Of course, MIT, Princeton, Stanford, Caltech are all very selective… and they are the type of schools who reject people with perfect scores…so don’t beat yourself up about it if you don’t get in). The colleges don’t put as much as emphasis on AP scores at all…Your AP scores will not be the reason you will be rejected. So don’t worry about it, good luck!

Thanks, I really appreciate your input!
