<p>what's up. I just received my ap scores and i am not feeling too good about them. i got 4 3's, a 2 and a 1. For some reason I am just bad at taking ap tests. However when it comes to other things, I tend to be god at them. I got a 2200+ on the sat and 750 on math 2 and a 730 for chem along with a 650 for bio. I have a 3.87 unweighted gpa and am the captain of my science bowl team. I also intern at Nasa and do allot of music oriented things. My dream school is MIT and I was wondering if it would be possible if you guys could tell me my chances. I am also looking at Caltech, UMD, princeton, Gatech, Duke and columbia. I would really appreciate it if you guys could give me some input on your stats and what colleges you got into. Thank you for your time.</p>
<p>Well, AP scores are not as important for college acceptance as they are for placement, although, lower ap scores do not send a good message. They suggest inflated grades from easier classes and that the workload was too much for you, since, after all, the point of ap courses is the ap exam and college credit, right?</p>
<p>That being said, your GPA is decent and your SAT score is solid. Your EC’s at this point seem weak, so make sure to expand on those.</p>
<p>I put Caltech, princeton, duke, and columbia at reaches, the rest at low reaches.</p>
<p>Take what I say with a grain of salt though, I am only 16 and a rising senior.</p>

<p>Your GPA, SAT1, and SAT2 scores are all below average of admission for MIT, Caltech, and most Ivies. Hopefully your EC may help your application. Your AP scores would not help your application at all. I think GATech is good for you.</p>
