Chances? I have no idea....

Hi!

I'm a junior this year at an intense all girls school in new york. I dont really know where to look....

PSAT: 204 (I know this isn't great but it said i was in the 98%....)
SATII: BioE: 770, Chem: 770 (taking another one this year)
GPA: 3.71 UW (My school doesnt do weighted ones but I'm taking all the ap/honors classes offered)

I'm definately in the top 25% of my class of 60 but everyone in my school is super competative. Lots of people go to top colleges.

Also, I'm a legacy at harvard and princeton, and a parent teaches at columbia.

Where do you think I should consider?

if you get your SAT score up you'd be in the running for harvard, princeton, and columbia. it would look good if you can get your GPA up too

Columbia ED would be a good move. And Barnard would be an even better one –*the admit rates to all-female schools are MUCH, MUCH, MUCH (x10^whatever) higher.

definitely columbia you have a good chance. but you can try harvard and princeton if you want too you seem qualified enough

calssai,

that PSAT score is actually great. I don't know the exact cutoff, but that's in National Merit Commended territory. Those SAT2 scores look competitive as well. Maybe you should take the ACT, and see how well you do, then decide if you want to send ACT scores to the selectives.

You should apply to the ivies. Being a legacy for H and P, and having a parent teaching at Columbia, sure doesn't hurt. But like everyone else say on these boards, make sure you also have safeties and matches that you would be glad to attend in case things don't work out.

Good luck!!
