I applied to Brown regular decision, and the vast majority of my friends say that I have a small chance of getting in.
I sort of screwed up freshman year, having a B- in one class (albeit an Honors course.) I had one B, two B+s, and the rest of my grades were As. I was taking the most rigorous courses my school offered, and my high school is one of the top 50 in the U.S.
Sophomore: Again, I was taking the most rigorous courses, except for one, English. That year I had only 1 B+ (in Math) and everything else was either an A- or an A. (AP Euro, AP Bio, Honors Math, Honors French, Honors Science Research, and Regular English.)
Junior: Was taking the most rigorous courses, no exception. (AP American, AP Chem, AP Music Theory, Honors Science Research, Honors French, Honors English, and Honors Math.) I had straight As.
Senior: I am taking the most rigorous courses again. (AP Calc BC, AP Macro, AP Physics, AP French, AP English and Honors Science Research.) so far this year I have had all As.

I’m not quite sure yet what I want to major in, but I seem to enjoy history, science, and music very much.
I am in the top 10% of my class

Test scores:
SAT: 2350
SAT IIs: haven’t gotten below a 730, have taken 4 (Bio, Chem, USH, French)
APs
Euro: 5
Bio: 4
American: 5
Chem: 4
Music: 5

I placed 3rd nationally 3 years in a row on the National French exam/test thing
I was a semifinalist in Siemans Competition
In 9th grade, won Toshiba Exploravision

I practice piano about 16-17 hours a week, have won numerous piano/composition awards (one of my pieces was once played by the New York Philharmonic)
I go to a music school of the same caliber as Julliard
Have played in my high school band and jazz band for 6 years, even before I was in high school (my school is small, and the middle school and high school are in the same building)
I also do debate work (Policy) 16-17 hours a week, last year I had 4 bids and went to TOC, although I did not break there…
I was on the varsity tennis team for one season

My recommendations were all very positive, stating how much of a “unique” person I am…
(That’s why I applied to Brown…)

Thank you all very much in advance, I know that there are a plethora of these threads…
