<p>I'm currently a junior,
GPA: 89.5 unweighted (3.5...i think)</p>

<p>Classes i took this year:
Honors Pre calc
Ap econ
Ap Stats
spanish 4
honors physics
and regualr classes...
Classes im taking next year:
Ap Calc
Ap bio
Ap Psychology
Ap spanish
and other regular classes.</p>

<p>Extra Curriculars:
varsity tennis
junior varsity indoor track
treasure of spanish club
key club
math team
volunteer at hospital</p>

<p>What are my chances of getting into Penn State University Park, or University of pittsburg?
I live out of state by the way. </p>

<p>I think you have an excellent chance at both if you continue to work hard. You have a great academic rigor and colleges focus on that first and foremost. Also, don’t drop any ECs after this year - keep on going and make sure you do your best in what you’re most passionate about.</p>

<p>Focus on your SAT scores and make sure that you start writing your college essays early - spend some serious time on them and tell PSU and Pitt what your passions are and why you want to go there.</p>

<p>I think you have a shot at Penn State and will prolly get into pittsburg, but u didnt say your test scores so its very hard to say.</p>

<p>My act score is 31, and sat was in the 1600s but I’m retaking it in the fall.</p>

<p>its pittsburgH btw, but you should get into both with your act score. i’m from pittsburgh and it seems like half the people from my high school get into both schools.</p>

PSU 3.53</p>

<p>Pitt really likes out of state students, so I think that is a plus for you, depending on where you might be from. You are in at PSU regardless (Abarith probably has Penn State confused with UPenn) and probably in at Pitt with your ACT score.</p>

<p>PSU is a match, but University of Pittsburg is a reach. Your GPA is a bit low for the school. Also, your extracurricular activities are lacking for UP. PSU is totally possible. </p>

<p>With a 31 ACT and being out-of-state, I don’t think Pitt is a reach for him. I think he has a good shot, but not a guarantee like PSU.</p>

<p>Region may help you, especially considering the unbelievable recruiting that Penn and Pitt do in my area. So keep that in mind!</p>
