Chances? I really appreciate it!

<p>I'm a rising senior at a private all girls school (half day, half boarding - i'm a day student, meaning I live at home)</p>

<p>SAT:
critical reading: 660
math: 670
writing: 710</p>

<p>ACT:
composite: 34</p>

<p>SAT II's:
US history: 700
latin: 610
Math 2: 620
(i know i need to get those up!)</p>

<p>AP tests (taken so far):
US history: 5
English: 4</p>

<p>all honors classes freshman and sophomore years (we aren't allowed to take AP's until junior/senior year), all A's and A+'s
junior year: 3 honors, 2 ap's (english and us history), all A's except B+ in US history
senior year schedule: all AP's (latin, stat, chem, gov, english)
also, dance at my school is a course, and i've taken it all 4 years with A's </p>

Newspaper writer sophomore, junior, senior year

NHS, NHS for Dance, NHS for Latin all years eligible
featured dancer at dance studio (non recital studio, but we do performances around town with selected dancers) since 5th grade (had to stop before junior and senior years)

coordinated and participated in Dumpster Dive at church (we go into dumpsters and separate out the recyclable items, compostable items, and actual trash to demonstrate how much we could reduce waste) - annual event

<p>summer activities:
after freshman year: mission/volunteer trip to Russia
after soph: NC Governor's School (for dance)
after junior: worked as a babysitter for at least 17 hrs/week, volunteered at various camps, worked as a camp counselor</p>

<p>work experience:
babysitter - been doing it since age 12, built up a large clientele, now babysitting at least 5 hours a week during school year</p>

<p>awards:
Latin Award for 9th/10th - freshman year
Orchesis Apprentice Award (for dance company) - sophmore
Outstanding Dancer Award - junior
Orchesis Heart Award (for dance company) - junior</p>

<p>Your ACTs are great don’t submit you SATs. Tons of kids flat out rejected around here w/ SATs in 1300s & high GPAs. ED would help your chances too.</p>

<p>BTW - the reject letter is not so warm & fuzzy-- basically “thanks but no thanks, move on”</p>

<p>Yeah, do NOT submit your SATs. Also, you might want to not submit your SAT II’s either, as they are not required.</p>

<p>The dance thing is good. Make sure you emphasize that. Maybe write your essay on it.</p>

<p>Overall I’d say you have a pretty good shot.</p>
