Colleges:
Pepperdine
Boston U
NYU CAS
UC San Diego
UT Knoxville - Safety
USC
Villanova

So what are the chances? I really wanna go to Boston or NYU, what do I need to do to get there? Thanks in advance.

Pepperdine--a religious school, but not a Catholic school, so your applying here surprises me--Match
Boston U--Safe Match
NYU CAS--Match
UC San Diego--Slight Reach (OOS)--they only take 3% or so from out-of-state
UT Knoxville - Safety (agree)
USC--Match
Villanova--Safe Match to Match

Also, if you want to go to Boston or New York, why not apply to Boston College or Fordham--two good catholic schools where you would have really good chances:
Boston College--match
Fordham--safe match to match

I don't mean this to sound racist but I feel that you have a great chance because of your racial status. But if you want a guaranteed acceptance, try getting a 28 on the ACT.
I had a 26 my first time and with a little prep (I used Barrons for a cumulative total of approx. 1hr) you can get a 26+. I'm actually planning on overstudying for the ACT and trying to get a 30+ next fall.

yeah i think i will take the ACT again but I dont know about the SAT because im not so good at standardized tests so Im a little satisfied with that score

You seem like a good candidate, but not a great one for a lot of those schools. No offense, but I think people are playing you the race card and giving you a little too much edge. I think if you raised your ACTs 2-4 points, you'd be in much better shape. Good luck!

Indiana University at Bloomington also has a great journalism school, although I agree that Missouri and USC are probably the two best in the country.
