"Gpa:4.2 Weighted 3.3 Unweighted"

What's your core gpa? Back out PE and assorted electives--e.g. video production. photography, etc.

And what's your class rank?

my core gpa would be the same, a little higher on the weighted but the same unweighted. and my school does not rank at all. but if i were to guess id say something around 40 percent

"and my school does not rank at all"

Your guidance counselor will send your colleges a high school profile. The class rank can easily be ascertained from the information.

Have you compared your statistics to the class profile of each college? E.g. 80% and 88% of those admitted to Tufts and Pomona, respectively, were in the top 10% of their graduating class. In order to save you the inconvenience of searching every college’s website for the common dataset, you can use CollgeBoard for the information you need. It’s accurate enough for your purposes

Your XY chromosomes will be a benefit. Many more females apply to your colleges than males.

It’s apparent rural is acceptable. Have you considered safeties such as Denison? Hobart is another variable consideration. Hobart has an amazing Lacrosse program. And the President, Mark Grearan, has added immensely to the college’s international perspective since beginning his tenure in 1999. http://www.hws.edu/administration/pres/index.asp

I’m also curious how you arrived at your list. Grinnell or Kenyon vs. NU and Tufts?

thanks!
well my father works at northwestern(not for northwestern) and i have always loved that place. I didn't want to apply anywhere where the college was gigantic and when visiting Grinnell i really loved it. Tufts is amazing for international relations and Kenyon also had such a beautiful campus and that small college feel that i was looking for. i hope that helps u figure out how i came to my decision, i probobly should have been more smart with my college choices, its harder than ever to get into good colleges nowadays

"i probobly should have been more smart with my college choices, its harder than ever to get into good colleges nowadays"

You'll be fine. You have all break. Denison is very beautiful too. Gettysburg is another college to look at.

schools that have janurary 15th deadlines, might not be possible for me though because i cant give my school a transcript request untill i come back janurary 8th so the school might not recieve the transcript by janurary 15th

Reach ,, it seems

"might not be possible for me though because i cant give my school a transcript request untill i come back janurary 8th so the school might not recieve the transcript by janurary 15th"

Your guidance counselor can fax your transcript then send a paper copy. It’s done all the time. FedEx or USPS priority is another option. Please don’t let a Jan 15th deadline dissuade you from applying to a college that could be a great fit and where you would have a viable chance of admission.
