How so? The acceptance decisions at a place like Colgate are made formally and deliberately and in accordance with their stated guidelines, and all there are many variables at play. So the best and most you can do is discuss these issues with your counselor and review what Admissions on colgate.edu has to say and then deliver up your credentials within a balanced and complete application.
What’s involved? The Colgate Admissions Office evaluates the strength of your high school’s reputation relative to your grades, the quality of your essays, and your teacher references alongside your scores and extracurriculars as they try to select the types of individuals that will contribute to your entering class. Of course, there are many other factors that impact that process such as the ED pool, coach supports, and various incentive programs. Organizing a class of 800 from close to 10,000 applicants is a complicated process.
