Chances?? Italian student

Hi
I'm an Italian student applying to colleges in the US.
I always attended school in Italy, except my 4th year of high school, when I studied in California as an exchange student.
I managed to transfer my credits form Italy in order to get a US High School Diploma.
Now I'm back in Italy, finishing high school (in Italy is 5 years), and at the end of the year I will have the Italian Diploma as well.

I took the SAT in June (R 520, M 610, W 530), but I'm planning to take it again in 13 days to increase my math score (I know I can't perform perfectly on the English sections).
I took AP Physics B when I attended school in the US, with a score of 4 on the exam.
I have a 101 on the TOEFL.
My GPA form the US was 3.6 (all As and Bs), which I think was pretty good considering that I had to struggle a lot because I didn't speak English at the beginning of my exchange year, and I was attending a very well-known school for academics.
I have strong recommendation letters.

Does the fact that I will have two diplomas help increasing my chances to get into good colleges?
I was thinking of applying to the UCs and USC.

Thanks a lot

What is your intended major and in which city in California were you an exchange student? Sent you a private message…

If California is the goal, you may want to look at the CS schools given your SAT scores. You may also want to look at some of the private colleges such as Loyola Marymount, Champman, Whittier, Notre Dame da Namur, Santa Clara, Point Loma Nazarene.

In Bocca al Lupo.

What’s your budget?
The UC’s will cost 55K (no financial aid). If you can raise those scores to about 600-650, you have a shot at UCSC, UCR, UCM, and UCI/UCD are reaches.
You may have a better shot at CSU’s, provided you’re not applying to an impacted major. With a scores in the 1800s and a 3.6, you’d have a shot at most, except Cal Poly SLO (including SDSU, CPP, Chico Honors, Sonoma Honors - the last two are less commuter than other CSU’s.) In addition, CSUs are about 30k for internationals, rather than 55K.
Look into LMU, Chapman, Whittier, Occidental, Redlands, St Mary’s of CA, USanDiego… depending on your budget.

What’s your problem with Bologna, La Sapienza?
