Chances Ivies and other top schools?

<p>ive posted this before but now have the exact list of schools i want to apply to (safeties aren't listed)</p>

<p>looking at: Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Princeton, UPenn, Cornell, Brown, Duke, UC Berkeley, Northwestern, UConn, Rutgers</p>

<p>You are in the range and among average of applicants to these schools. So give them a try. Nevertheless, you need a few match schools and safety due to the low admission rates of these schools. Before you apply, investigate a little bit more about these schools. This would help you to write the essay and narrow down the list a bit. </p>

<p>You have a good chance at your reaches but I would add several high match schools (like Notre Dame or John Hopkins). Take it from someone who’s son was wait-listed at MIT, Caltech, and Stanford and rejected by all ivies except one. He was also rejected from John Hopkins and Carnegie Mellon so it was a long way down to his safety school. It’s really a crap shoot with 30,000+ kids applying for 2000+ spots so take some risk out of the process and add more matches!</p>
