Chances me for MIT, Stanford, UChicago, UCberkeley etc

Hi guys.
I’m an international student, next year I’ll study in USA the 12th grade.
I want also continue to study at the university in US, I’ll probably apply to these school:

  • MIT
  • Stanford
  • Princeton
  • Cornell
  • UCBerkeley
  • UChicago
  • UC Santa Barbara
  • UC San Diego
  • U Texas Austin

What are my chances?

Objective:

-SAT I : 2250 (W 750, M 800, CR 700)

-SAT II : Physics (770), Math 2 (800)

  • GPA : Here I have some problems.. In my country we do not have GPA, grades are also completely different. We have a scale from 1 to 10, but the grades 1-3 and 9-10 are extremely rare. A student that finish the year with some 6s and 7s and 8 is considered a very good student. But 6 are Cs and 7 are Bs. Anyway, next year in US my goal is to have a 3.9+ GPA (4.0 better). Furthermore, when I will apply, I will send a letter from my school in which is written that my school is one of the most competitive school in all my country and it will be pointed that a 7 or 8 is considered exceptional. So, for now, suppose that my American GPA will be 3.9+ and my country GPA will be not so good (but there will be that letter from my highs school)
  • APs : Next Year I will do Physics , Calculus BC and Chemistry.
  • Top 0.5/1 % in physics and math in my school (about 1000 student)

Subjective :

-Volunteer work in a foundation for poor people (40+ hours).
-Played basketball for 6 years and won some regional tournament plus a national one.
-Extremely passion for physics and math : self-studied Quantum mechanics and Relativity at the age of 14., self studied Calculus and -Differential equations with no help.

  • Wrote a physics’s paper in my country journal for high school student.
-Tutor of physics and math to High school student and middle school student.
-Achieved an EdX online course certificate at Harvey Mudd about calculus and physics.
-Participated at Oxford University Physics Summer Course.
-Visited CERN, so I can write something about that amazing experience in my essays.
    -Other things that i don’t remember now…
  • 2 AMAZING( !!) recc. letters from my teachers.

thanks to everyone!

PS: I know, MIT and others are reaches for everyone… but, I have a chances or not?

Bump?

Bump (Last one ;))

I think you have a shot at all of them. Berkeley, UCSB, UCSD, and UT you will very likely get in. For the privates, your SAT score is a little on the lower side, but I think it will boil down to how legit your work in physics and math really is. Be sure to attach your paper as a supplement if the University allows it, and write about what you researched in your essays. If they are impressed, they will likely consult some faculty to evaluate how good it is, and a positive review can seal the deal. Also try to participate in some more science competitions, Physics Olympiads, and USAMO (the latter two for waitlist situations).
