Chances (most likely none) for Columbia, NYU, Syracuse, and others?

Hi :D
Ok so I am currently a sophomore. During freshman year i faced depression + anxiety so my grades were quite horrendous :/ (i usually get good grades). first semester i got a 2.83, 2nd i got 3 (no honors courses :/). During freshman year i was also a part of key club, doing 6 hours of service each month.
During my 1st semester of sophomore year i got a 3.71(still no honors courses :/). I was also on girls JV tennis & was(and still) in band. Now im in the middle of sophomore year 2nd semester and will get a 4.0, go to the local science olympiad, and i plan to start maybe 2 clubs at school(one will be connected with the red cross). I also plan to volunteer at a rabbit shelter and maybe an aquarium. I am currently a member of CSF (California Scholarship Federation) and CJCL (California Junior Classical League). I know my stats arent the best right now, but i plan to do more science competitions (i want to major in maybe biochemistry or biochemical engineering) and get atleast a 4.0 every semester. I will most likely take honors and AP classes next year. If i get high SAT scores (like atleast 2000) and do more EC's, do i have a chance to get at NYU, UC Irvine, UC Davis, Columbia (i know i know, a HUGE long shot), University of Toronto, UCLA, University of Rochester, Rochester Institute of Technology, Syracuse, University of Hawaii, George Washington University, or UC San Diego? Also can you suggest any schools for me?

Hello there wisewalnut,
assuming that you do get your 4.0 GPA, 2000+ SAT score, and do more ECs (in fact, get a leadership position) then you do have a good shot at the schools you mentioned.

Remember, it’s also about whatever Volunteer Work, Internships, AP Scores, Essays, and Teacher Recommendations.

** Good luck! **
