•SAT II: Took them June 4th, expecting to bomb USH, but my practice scores were in the 700s for Biology E and Literature.
•Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 3.78 unweighted (but my school doesn’t report it), 4.18 weighted.
•Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): not reported
•AP (place score in parenthesis): APUSH (3), not reporting, plus one I’m taking my senior year.
•IB (place score in parenthesis): No scores yet, but I will have taken about 7 IB classes by the time I apply.
•Senior Year Course Load: Theory of Knowledge, Pre-Med Review, AP Government and Politics, IB 20th Century History, IB Biology II, IB Spanish 4, IB Comparative World Literature, IB Calculus, IB Chemistry.
•Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): National Hispanic Recognition Program. Two time gold medal winner through the Scholastic Art & Writing awards, plus four honorable mentions.

Subjective:

•Extracurriculars: started two clubs of which I am the president of (Science Bowl and Greenhouse Club), debate junior and senior year, orchestra and marching band all four years (president of marching band last four years, principal viola all four years), pit orchestra junior year, frisbee all four years, some other assorted stuff.
•Volunteer/Community service: 100+ hours at a hospital, 100+ hours from search and rescue, school greenhouse (50ish), and food banks (50ish)
•Summer Activities: selective writing workshop
•Essays: excellent
•Counselor Rec: pretty decent
•Teacherl Rec: recommendations from a teacher who I know very well (he’s in real estate and is developing a house across the street from me, so the two of us are actually good friends), and my lit teacher, who got a teacher award from my Scholastic writing awards and therefore adores me.

Your ACT’s are pretty average for BC and northeastern so you will be going against thousands of applicants–aka have less of a chance. You have a good chance for BU. Your EC’s could be seen as very generic and could range from average to slightly advantageous depending on hours devoted to each. Awards add a good boost to your application that defines you from others. An easy way to boost your chances: raise your ACT score with a prep book). Stat/EC wise you aren’t a standout, but with good essays (try to avoid generic topics–which is definitely harder than it seems) and LoR try to maintain those relationships throughout senior year with your teachers you should be pushed toward the 75th percentile of applicants.
