Hi all,
I am from Germany and I wanted to ask, if my chances to get into Harvard (Gradutate School of Art and Sciences) woult increase, if I apply there as a graduate (german "vordiplom" and a year at german university) or as an undergraduate (i am still at school). I´ll study biology. My marks at school are good but not perfect. I visited some summer capms and attendet some competitions. I know, that my marks from the german study must be perfect.
Please help me to augment my chances.

It will be easier to get into one of the GSAS PhD programs in biology if you have extensive research experience.

If attaining a higher degree will help you get more research experience and better letters of recommendation, then that is the path to take -- the advanced degree itself isn't what matters, it's your ability to get research opportunities and recommendation letters.
