chances of acceptance? (junior)

Hi all- hoping you could give some honest feedback on my chances of getting into Swarthmore.

I'm a junior at a small southern boarding school.

Sex: F
Class Rank: 4/72
Unweighted GPA: 3.82
Weighted GPA: 4.79
Classes: All Honors as an underclassman. As a junior, I'm in APUSH, AP English, and AP European History. My other classes are all honors. As a senior, I'll take AP Stat, AP English, AP Biology, AP Studio Art, and AP Latin IV.
SAT: 580 (math), 760 (reading), 790 (writing). I know my math score is awful; I took the SAT in March and am hoping for a higher score.
ACT: 31 (hoping for a higher score in April).

ECs: As a junior, president of Amnesty International, co-captain of quiz bowl team, played volleyball, technology prefect, boarding prefect, and member of the Judicial Board. As a senior, I'll be a technology prefect and a member of the executive sga as the Chair of the Judicial Board. I'm involved in a lot of other clubs and campus activities. I've done a lot of work in community service: I'm a member of the community service committee at my school, and over the summer I volunteered in my community and I also was a junior volunteer at the local hospital.

Honors: I've won several school writing contests, including a portfolio award. I've won awards for visual arts and achievement in history. My PSAT score indicates that I'll be at least a National Merit Semi-Finalist next fall. I've won several others awards at my school.

Thanks!

If I were you I would wait until this year's batch get their acceptance/rejection letters and then ask for stats.

firefly is right....
this is just a little pre/immature. Those of us who have been wondering about our chances will finally know in a day or two, so wait with us and check the decisions thread soon.

Your profile looks Swat ready. Your test scores meet the baseline (repeating shows a good work ethic and hopefully will garner even higher scores). Lots of 800s don't get into elite schools like Swarthmore. Community service leadership is very big at Swat. You've got that. The key with Swat after you have all of the objective stuff is something that's most likely going to come from your letters and essays. Swat wants students who are self-directed learners and whose curiosity for learning jumps off the page of their essays. What they are looking for is hard to fake; they've got a great record of finding this special quality in their applications and creating classes every year that are filled with these students. In sum, you are putting together a package that has all the objective criteria for which Swat is looking. If you pick letter writers from your teachers who know you well and if you spend time writing an essay that is a genuine reflection of who you are, then if you've got that special spark Swat is looking for, you're in. Good luck!
