Hey, I'm a current Junior who visited Swarthmore and really like what I saw. I'm started to visit some colleges (about 5) and this is my favorite one, so I was wondering about my chances of getting in!

I am a white male from New Jersey.
Major: Not really sure yet, telling colleges Engineering, but I am open to anything interesting.
GPA: 4.28 (weighted) after Freshmen (I got a lot of B's freshmen year, didn't really understand High School) and Sophmore year, will probably go up this year though.
Class Rank: Not done by my school, probably about top 10% though. Around 350 kids total in my class, not many apply to Swarthmore.

SATs: 2130 total, 760 Reading, 710 math, 660 writing. Going to retake in the spring and try to get higher in writing.
ACTs: Haven't taken yet.
AP tests: 5 in APUS history so far
Subject tests: 780 in APUS history, not sure which other ones I am taking, probably math and science, maybe Latin.
Classes: Taking four AP (composition., gov., Physics, and Stat) classes this year, and probably five AP next year, everything else this year is honors (besides gym and lunch obviously).

I should have a pretty good interview, I think I am the type of person Swarthmore is looking for. I am a decent essay writer. I should have good teacher recommendations, teachers tend to like me.

Activities (I don't do much, am going to try and do some more stuff this year).
Cross country (average times, will most likely get a varsity letter)
Latin Club (not president or anything)
National Honors Society
Am going to try and do some more community service, haven't done much up to this point.

If I continue to like this college best out of all the ones I will visit, I will probably apply Early Decision.

I understand that I haven't done a lot of the testing and that I need to do more extracurriculars, just kind of looking for a general assessment of my chances, really intimidated by some of the other people on this forum. If you want more information just ask!
