-Awards: Outstanding Choral Musician, National Honors, National Business, National Spanish, AP Scholar w/ Honor, (probably 2 others)
-Extracurriculars: Art and Stock Market Clubs, choral group, Libary volunteer (not much, 20-40hrs), Chinese govt sponsored trip/camp to China (20± hrs)
Great ACT score and coursework. If you don’t care about your ECs, though, it shows.
I think you’re at the bottom 25th percentile of admitted students’ ACT scores, which means that the vast majority of admitted students scored higher than a 31 on their ACT. It’s definitely worth putting a lot of time into studying for the exam – heck, even try out the SAT if the ACT isn’t working out.
Good luck! Northeastern is a great school, I’m sure you can get in, especially if you bring your scores up.
31 is the middle 50% - the range is 31-34. Given that, and your GPA, Northeastern looks like a solid match school.
@coterie I thank you for the kind response. As for the lack of ECs, i have a personal reason which i may be writinging about in my college essay. Does that sound like a bad idea? Thank you once again!
Thanks for the comment as well, @PengsPhils. As for the ACT grade, i received a 31 without studying, but i have been for the last 2 weeks. I am currently hoping my best for a 33. Thank you!
