chances of admittance to stanford?

<p>I am currently a Junior at Covina High interested in applying to Harvard. I have accumulated 200+ hours of volunteer service and held positions in 5 consistent clubs since freshman year. For the upcoming senior year, I have earned the following: Coeditor in Chief/News Editor of the newspaper, President of CSF, Vice Pres of Interact, Vice Pres of Alcyonians, and Secretary of Renaissance of ASB. I also am Girls State 1st Alternate and will be attending Pepperdine's YCS Seminar in June. I will be a camp counselor this summer also at Tom Sawyer Camps, earning about 150 more hours. National Merit Scholar as well. Awaiting whether I am a semifinalist or not.</p>

<p>Sports:
Tennis all 4 years, Varsity for 2. Captain of the team next year.
Soccer 2 years, captain this past season, voted most inspiring.
Track 3 years, won several medals from Saturday meets.</p>

<p>AP TESTS:
AP EURO: 4
Waiting for AP Calc AB, AP Physics B, AP English Lang, AP US History.
SAT Score: 2150 on the first try in Oct 2007
Subject tests:
US History: 710
Literature: 660 (without studying, am taking it again in june :/)
Math Level 2: 660 (without studying, am taking it again in june :/)
Taking ACT in Sept.</p>

AP Biology
AP Econ/Gov
AP Lit
Journalism
Tennis/Soccer/Track</p>

<p>GPA 3.97 unweighted, weighted 4.3+ approx, havent recalculated recently
with new grades.</p>

<p>rank: 2/336, most likely will be salutatorian behind 5 valedictorians
(i guess technically 6 then? but just so you guys know, i'm not REALLY 6 but that's
how colleges will see it as, i suppose)</p>

<p>I'd say Stanford's a reach, but you have a shot. The only weakness I see is in your ECs: they seem to be all over the place, but the leadership is strong (showing commitment, etc.). Show that you're passionate about what you do, and you should be okay there. Try to improve your SAT IIs if you can.</p>

<p>Hmm, interesting stats. What's ASB Secretary of Renaissance? We don't have that one at my school.</p>

<p>ASB= associated student body, a student leadership club that pretty much controls most of the goings-on on campus :) </p>

<p>secretary of renaissance means i am in charge of the whole renaissance rally in spring and im also a cabinet member so i chair various events throughout the year</p>
