chances of CSU and UC schools any?

My schedule during freshman and sophomore year were four semesters.
Freshman year:mostly 2.0
Sophomore year:1.9 all electives, 3.3, 3.5, 3.0
Junior year:3.1, 3.9
Senior year: Going to take Ap English, Trig, Ap gov/Econ, Spanish 2, all required classes
Extra Curricular:Naval Academy summer seminar,Kaiser volunteer, Going to take volleyball and lacrosse.

SAT: bad 990( I know that sucks so bad). I'm taking sat prep classes to prepare for it in october and taking act for first time.

I have never failed any classes. In total I have 7 D's 5 are electives, Two are english 9a and bio A. But the electives are in my a-g categories so do I have to make them up or leave them as is because they are irreverent to college. Also do I have to make up inter coor science. Please respond thank you. I live in California.

Do you know your UC GPA? Do yo know what you want to study? Will you want to live at home or on campus? Would you consider a CCC?

Terrible grades, weak ecs, horrible sat. Take the act. At this moment, no chance at any UC.

My uc gpa has to be above 3.0 because last time I checked it was 2.95. I know bad. It varies on what I want to study but I would like to study civil engineering, English, and poli science. On campus. Only if I can’t get into a csu school. Preferably I would like to go to uc schools rather than csu schools

Ouch that hurt. Not even uc riverside or merced

5/10 Trolling, jimmies were slightly rustled

Huh! I’m sorry what did you say.

My son got waitlisted at Riverside with a 3.1/@1900, good EC’s, class of 2011. Needless to say, no other UC addmisions ( didn’t apply to Merced). He did get in off the waitlist, but was rejected at three CSU’s.

Check out CSU mentor for schools with droms. Only the most competitive seem to have them, but Chico, Monterrey, and Sonoma aren’t completely out of reach.

Damn. Now you got me scared. I know my grades are not the best so is my sat score which I’m going to fix. Man my friend got a 1200 on sat and got into usna. Some people tell me it depends like they take the smart kids and not so smart kids.

If you mean 1200/ 1600, that is pretty good. It also nelps if you are in aCSU referral area, and apply to a non impacted major.

I think you should leave “smart” out of it. Its about your track record and potential. Have you looked at Mentor?

Thank you for kind words. I mean no one even tries to throw kind words here.

Ohhh no 1200/2400 and he still got in. he is the rowing team for usna

And CCC"s can be a great opportunity.

Mentor? Like someone to help me

why can ccc be a great opportunity just asking

It’s a low cost “do over”, there are established paths to transfer to good UC’'s, and many are better than community colleges in other states. In NCal, the east bay, Diablo Valley has a great variety of classes, competative students, and they might even have a dorm.

I’m a proud person. But you have shown me that ccc can be good. But I’m still going to pursue csu and uc schools just because and low cost and do over sounds good I’m going to check out Diabo valley

From the CSU mentor site
