EA decisions come out soon and I am SO nervous!

Did you get in EA??

No… Really sad about it. I drove up to JMU after the deferral to updated my application to make it stronger and talked to an admissions counselor and he said that EA was more competitive this year with 2200 more EA than usual.

Your extracurriculars are very solid. Your SAT is on the low end but is still within their middle 50%. If I had to guess, that may have been why you got deferred. I think you have a good chance of getting in regular. I got deferred with a 1240 SAT and 3.9 GPA.

My daughter was also deferred with a 3.6 and 1270 SAT.
