All of those schools seem like matches. Does your school rank? Have you taken the SAT?

NCSU: Low match
App: Match
UNCW: Match

Yeah I got a 1750 the first time. I’m aiming for a 1900 or above! I’m in the top 30% of my class

Agree with what collegebound said! NC State will be a low match considering SAT and GPA. Your SAT will most likely improve your second time, and their average is a 1791, so you’re close in that aspect!

As far as GPA goes, try to get it up as much as you can senior year, as their middle 50% for weighted GPA is 4.16-4.61.
Also, 12.9% of last year’s accepted students were in top 30%, and 27.9% were in the top 20%, and 51.2% were in the top 10%.

(BTW- all info was found here: NC State 101 | NC State University)

All this info is suggesting that you won’t be ruled out immediately (so you’ve got a chance!!), but definitely consider some other options (as I see you are). Your EC’s seem good!

App and UNCW seem like solid matches to me.
