Chances of getting into an Ivy League University/or Temple U/or Drexel U

I have completed two years of high school.

End of the Year Grade Averages

GPA 2.30

Health - A
English 1 - B

10th Grade: (My best year) Big jump from 9th Grade

End of the Year Grade Averages

GPA - 3.30

EC's

Technology Student Association
Temple U Pre-College Program
CCP Dual-Enrollment Program
Yearbook Club

I did a lot of EC's in middle school. Planning to do more in junior and senior year of high school.

5 time Honor Roll Student (9th and 10th grade) and I don't have a class rank because my school doesn't do that.

Planned for junior year:

AP Environmental Science
AP U.S. History
Taking the PSAT in October for National Merit Scholarship
ACT in Feb. 2014

I want to apply to University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University, Brown University, Temple University and Drexel University to major in Criminal Justice.

Need test scores

Your GPA looks like it is way too low for Princeton, Penn, or Brown

If you stay on track from 10th grade (with decent ACT) I think you will get into Temple and maybe even Drexel

If I was to bring up my GPA from 3.30 to 3.7+ in my Senior year will that increase my chances?

You don’t put down middle school EC’s on your app, only high school ones.

 1. They’ll still be reaches regardless
 2. Colleges do like to see an upward trend
 3. I don’t think it’s possible to bring it up that much (UW, at least)

Ivy League applicants usually have 3.9+ unweighted GPA.

Well, I went to Drexel’s admissions office and the admissions guy said I have a strong chance in getting into there even with the 2.3 GPA in 9th grade and 3.3 GPA in 10th grade. But I need to get a 3.65 or higher in 11&12th grade to be accepted.

So, now Drexel U is a low/high match.

Temple U is a high match.

The other schools are reaches.
