@simonesimmo Besides all the academic and extracurricular achievements an applicant needs for the rare acceptance to Harvard, integrity and honesty are valued just as much. Your teachers and counselor will be asked very specific questions as to your personal character qualities. (You can preview the questionnaire on the Harvard supplement pages for GCs.)

Take care to develop a reputation of integrity as well as your hoped-for academic accolades; without the first, all the 1600s/UW 4.0s in the world will be ignored.

@T26E4 @bodangles@gibby@fauve - I sincerely apologize for my imprudence and dishonesty. I admit it was wrong of me to try and predict my future chances, especially without having completed all those EC’s + Scores. Thank you for teaching me how important honesty is. And @fauve thank you for your comment, it helped me greatly! Again, I am so sorry!!

@ sinonesimmo- Best of luck during your high school years. Enjoy your pursuit of your dreams and make your family and community proud of your path to success. (if it does include an Ivy, fine, but you can find many routes to your goals.)

@simonesimmo: agree w/fauve. It can be daunting experience – trying to vie for a few seats. It can get the best of us. Good luck on your future endeavors – and future posts on CC. One actually can learn quite a bit. But don’t hang out here too much. One sees HS students obsessing here and that’s not good.
