No one could say that you’re an average applicant, that’s for sure, but no one could rightfully say you’re a shoo-in. I’ll say this though - where many applicants like you are rejected is the essay. Inability to coherently present yourself and have goals in life will kill your chances. Again, I can’t say you’ll be accepted. Competition is tough, especially for international students such as yourself.

Ya have to have like magical powers so if you are nothing like Samantha from the TV program “Bewitch” you may want to pursue other realistic goals. Just sayin’ >:D<

Your stats are great, but so are those from most applicants. Depending on how many ivies you apply to, I’d say that you have a good shot (more than likely) of getting into 1 or 2. Which 1 or 2? Nobody knows. It’s a crapshoot; you can sweep HYP or get rejected from all 8.

In another thread, you reveal that you’re in ninth grade. What are you really? Credibility is very important on this site. No one wants to help posers

@T26E4 This is what I will have achieved my 12th grade. I didn’t bother telling people as it would cause confusion. Additionally I didn’t tell people because I wanted there honest option on the above credentials, and if it isn’t enough, being grade 9 I can add more to the list.

simone: just present yourself as an honest broker. Saying you’ll achieve a 35 ACT, 2350 SAT and 3x 800 Subj test-- basically saying you’re amongst the top 1% of people taking the exam – really comes across WRONG in so many ways. Please hit the reset button and extinguish these “supposed achievements” and ask honest questions. Therefore you’ll get honest replies/answers. Otherwise, you’ll easily be tuned out.

e.g. This baloney statement (after you posted the amazing CV) :

I have already achieved 3/4 of those thing, and I’m currently in the process of completing the remaining 1/4. I know that I’m going to recieve those results because I’m academically gifted -and determined.

As a Harvard alum and parent of two boys who attended/attend Ivy League schools, here are some tips on how you can increase your chances of getting into an Ivy League or comparable school:

Don’t obsess about getting into an Ivy League or comparable school.

Leave College Confidential for at least the next two years.

Focus on your high school education as an end in itself, not just a means to an end (i.e., college admissions).

Pursue things you really enjoy and in which you are truly interested.

Don’t do anything solely for the reason of building your resume.

I was going to give you the benefit of the doubt – but you still won’t own up to your lying. When you post this

I’m from Australia, in Grade 9 right now. I’m really confused because i thought we only submit our EC’s and grades from Year 11 onwards? Because in Australia, there aren’t many oppurtunites here - e.g no clubs, extra curriculars min. age limit is 16 (and doesn’t get accounted for). Also, we don’t have such thing as a GPA. In Year 11, I plan to move to ISWA - the only school in AUS with AP classes and are clubs that America has. That is when I will be doing most of my extra-curricular, because this school is like an american school, and has all those clubs extra credits ect. So what is going to happen? /quote your credibility is shot.

I owned up to it? If you are here to discriminate, then please get off this thread. I have not committed a crime, I am merely telling a white lie to see my future chances. There is no harm in that, if anything I am taking an initiative. So please, don’t make any further comments,

^^ Excuse me @simonesimmo, but as a newbie poster you need to respect veteran posters such as @T26E4, who has over 15,000 posts and is an alumni interviewer for a peer school of Harvard’s. The opinions offered are based on years of experience.

For the record, always tell the truth – both in life and on CC – as students that tell “white lies” are not to be trusted – not by me, not by anyone else.
