What are my chances of getting into Brandeis next fall with a GPA of 3.00 in 9th and 10th grade, but a 3.96 in 11th and 12th grade?
SAT is 1510. Also, if my school doesn’t offer AP or IB, will that be a deal-breaker? I took college prep courses in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Math, if that makes a difference.
EC’s include all girls choir for 5 years, after-school Chinese classes my school offers - 2 years (also taking Japanese and Spanish classes), Drama class for 1 year, a Media Composition club for 2 years, and a leader of a Geography club for kids from 4th till 9th grade.
I’ve been volunteering at an organization that protects children from domestic violence for 1 year (around 300 hours), and a volunteer at a Light Festival that happens in my city every year.
Won 3rd place in a Japanese speech contest.
I am not from the US so I would be an international student needing financial aid, I realize that is important since Brandeis is need aware.
My recommendations would be great, and the essay would be fairly decent as well since I’m quite keen on writing.
