Desired Department/Major

Cornell: Engineering / Computer Science
Columbia: Engineering School / Computer Science
NYU: Tandon School of Engineering / Computer Science

Thank you

Your stats are a little low for those schools (esp engineering departments) TBH. Perhaps keep them as a reach and try to find more schools where your stats are in the top 75% for school’s admits… (keep in mind that the new SAT is running about 60-80 points easier than the old one so you might really need above a 1500 for an ivy and for eng. SATII Math 2 my guess is you’ll need to bring that score up a 100 points for ivy)

Perhaps look at CUNY? You might get good merit there.

Agree with @runswimyoga, Cornell and Columbia are both very high reaches with your test scores. NYU is probably a high match.

Thanks for the info. Considering the same intended major, would my chances be at least slightly higher for UPenn and Rensselaer? Or hard to tell?

NYU: Tandon School of Engineering has an acceptance rate of 60 - 75%, so very easy to get into - High Match.

Not for UPenn at all -but yes for Rensselaer!
