Hello currently a junior at a highly competitive high school out of state
Weighted GPA: 4.55
Unweighted: 3.75
Taken two practice ACT tests scoring 33s on both, plan on taking real test soon
Taken a couple of SATs best score is around a 2000 but I am just starting an extensive SAT class
Plan on taking SAT 2s in both chemistry and math 2
Many clubs, activities, 2 years varsity athletics, many hours of community service, including working in a chemistry lab over the summer.

What do you think my chances would be? I am ethnically asian and I plan on applying to their respective colleges of Arts and Sciences.

Funny, you have the exact same GPA as I do (4.55). It’s hard to say without knowing standardized test scores or specific ECs, but if you make a 33 like you are thinking you wilk and do well on SAT II’s I think you have a great chance at those schools.

If you wanna get into Emory, really show them your interest. Visit the school if you can, join a mailing list etc. They want people that love Emory.

Thank you both, and I definetly plan on visiting and if I like it I may early decision there.
Many of the EC’s consisted of clubs involved with pre-med and visiting hospitals

I think you have a fair shot. Your gpa and standerized test grades are sufficient for those schools. Maybe get sime more specific ec that pertain to our interested major. Good luck.
