Match

You have a pretty great chance. Your extracurriculars, academic interests, and classes all align with business and youu are a very well-framed applicant. Northeastern doesn’t care too much about test scores and your GPA is great. Hope you get in and go there!!!

^^ Northeastern doesn’t care about test scores??? They are all about test scores, especially whether or not you have good ones. Mid 50% for last year was 31-34. They have been trying to increase their average for the last decade or so, and last year was the most competitive yet.

To the OP, you seem like a good candidate, my son had similar scores and EC’s but weaker GPA got in to the business school. Good luck, it is a fine school.

I’d consider you a match on the lower side, I think your SAT score is equivalent to a 30ACT. Your ECs are good, particularly your DECA involvement. Good luck !

Thanks so much for answering! That’s what I was worried about. Do you think my test scores would make or break my chances of getting in? I forgot to mention this in the information above, but if it helps I am 10/301 in my class.

Northeastern puts little weight into class rank - the main 3 factors are test scores, GPA, and course / high school rigor. A student shouldn’t be penalized for being in a competitive high school or gifted for being in an easy one, so many schools are lessening the importance of class rank. Northeastern looks like a high match / low reach. I don’t think there’s anything to be done but wait. Good luck!
