Chances of Getting into NYU?

Hi! So I realize that admission decisions will be coming soon from NYU, but I was just curious on what you guys thought about my chances?

GPA: 3.9
ACT: 27 Composite

I’ve been a class officer at my high school for about two years (Secretary as a Junior and Treasurer as a Senior). I was the Section Leader of the pit in my marching band and was in that program for the past four years. I was an officer in Pretty in Pajamas, which is a volunteer organization created specifically to help girls around my area. I was an officer in my school’s Photography Club for two years. I’ve also been active in National Honor Society for about three years now. My school doesn’t rank. I received a pretty good recomendation from my Anatomy teacher.

The thing that scares me the most is my ACT score, will that be a huge detriment compared to the rest of my stats? I did indicate that I’m interested in NYU’s Liberal Studies Program.

I forgot to mention that I took two dual credit courses last year and am currently taking 3 dual credit courses and 1 AP course (my school doesn’t have a lot of AP courses available). I applied to the College of Arts and Sciences.

Weighted. Unweighted it’s like a 3.8.

CAS may be a bit tough, since a 30+ ACT is considered competitive. Your uw GPA is above average for CAS though. You might get into CAS but if you don’t, you will probably get into at least LSP. You also have pretty good ecs. Good Luck, a little over a week left!!!
