I am an inter-campus transfer, so I'm worried about my chances. Do I have a decent shot at getting into UCSB?

Current school: UCSC
Major: Literature
GPA: 3.5
Major GPA: 3.75

Thank you!

Just curious why do you want to switch to SB?

(sorry I dont have any answer for your question)

UCSC’s literature department isn’t very good and I don’t like the campus. I also grew up in this area and I want to move. It’s just all around not a good fit for me personally.

Oh I forgot to add that in comparison I thought UCSB’s campus was GORGEOUS, and from the research I’ve done their comparative literature department has a lot more to offer.

Thats interesting, I’ve heard the complete opposite of SC’s English dept. Good to hear from someone on the inside :)

I mean it’s not TERRIBLE, but the courses at SB for example seem way more diverse and in-depth to me. If you want to do creative writing UCSC has a pretty good program but overall I find the English department is meh.

Have you actually visited SB’s campus or just seen pictures?

I visited the campus this past December. I like that the buildings are newer and that it’s flat and actually walk-able haha.

Well that’s good. As long as you like it, that’s all that matters :]

It’s funny because I actually go to Santa Barbara and I think SC is gorgeous. Maybe it’s a “the grass is always greener” thing?

I have never actually visited though.

why do you keep posting numerous threads about the same thing? I think i have read this about you at least 3 times already.
