What highschool did you attend? What ethnicity and gender? Any medical ECs??

@nickchn I am applying to intern at a organization that helps nonprofits raise money for medical research and cancer. I am also looking into hospitals to volunteer at during the next school year

I am first generation Asian American female. I don’t attend a prestigious high school.

Hey @Suffering ! Wow you have alot of APs! Your standardized test scores look pretty good… and your ECs are also decent… but maybe you should try doing more medical related volunteering (like at a hospital or nursing home) or even just more volunteering in general (like at a library or something)…and maybe try shadowing a doctor and get into a research program (this really boosts your resume)…but yeah I don’t think you need to worry about your academics or anything, but try and focus more on volunteering and stuff cause they really look at that…Sophie doesn’t really want smart kids…they want alrounded students who are dedicated and passionate about medicine and primary care and who want to help people in need and stuff like that…also try and work on your essays and interview skills cause they give alot of importance to that… I hope this helps  I’m a senior in highschool and I’m applying this Fall…so I know exactly how your feeling! It’s a stressful and nerve wracking experience… but I hope you get in! Actually I hope we both get in!!! Please message me… I’d love to talk to someone who is going through the same thing I’m going through>.< Good Luck!
