Sophie Davis is a dream and I feel like I’m very dedicated to being an MD and fear that my GPA although is above the 85, might bring me down.

My regents scores are mostly above 85 with an exception of like 2 one being in trig with an 84 and one being in Russian with a 81.

My worst class average on my transcript is a 79 in trig but that is still considered a B- at my school.

Yes I believe you have a chance to be given an interview. Out of over 2000 who apply to Sophie every year, around 200 are selected for an interview and I think you have the grades and ECs to get you there. Your SAT score is definitely very impressive, and it is probably your saving factor with the other grades you have gotten. I am not sure how Sophie will feel about your GPA, because yours reaches around the minimum. But it all boils down to your 3 essays that you have to write in your application. Those matter the most out of anything else, and those are the largest deciding factors for whether you can get an interview or not. I got a muchh less SAT score than you did, yet I was given an interview, and it was all because of my essays. So make sure to put ALL your effort in your essays AS MUCH as you can.

Good luck!

Thank you so much, did you happen to get in? Also what was your GPA of you don’t mind me asking.
