chances of getting into syracuse university, nyu, allegheny, and/or uvm

<p>Hey everybody! So my unweighted gpa is 3.47, which isn't that great, but I'm working on it! I have and played the violin for 11 years and the guitar for two, and I am part of two orchestras. I am sending in a photo with photography from my photo class. My schedule is ok, but I go to one of the top public schools in new england, so I've been told that colleged really take that into account. I am in honors french which will be ap next year, a high level english class (honors isn't given), a high level social studies class (honors still not given), cp2 algebra, and cp chemistry. i have near 100 hours of community service at various places, which will make me eligible for a president's award in the spring. I also belong to a yoga club at my school. I am not doing any of these things to get into college. I just do them because I like them. I haven't taken SATS or ACTS yet. Besides that, what are my chances of getting into syracuse university, allegheny, nyu, and/or uvm?</p>

<p>What grade are you in now? EC’s need some improving. Your GPA will work, if you have great test scores (30+ ACT). You need to take the SAT/ACT + writing[, and it would help to take the SAT II (SAT subject tests). Given the information that you’ve given me, I can’t really say at this point in time what your chances are. All I can say is that you’re on the right track, and do as suggested. Good luck! </p>

<p>Oh, and I spent a couple of weeks last summer in Quebec in a french exchange program where I really developed some independence and improved my french speaking skills vastly with a host family I was staying with. I plan on returning next summer. Best 3 weeks ever.</p>
