Hi there!
I'm a student at Houston Baptist University and I was wondering what my chances were of getting into Tufts as a transfer student.

My GPA: 3.9
SAT: 2200
SAT II: Bio- 780 ENG- 760
ACT: 35

I have volunteered at Memorial Hermann hospital for a year and earned 200 hours.
I have shadowed a dentist for 100 hours.
I started a club called "Huskies for Humanity" my freshman year. (Huskies are HBU's mascot)
I went on a volunteer abroad trip with Rice University to South Africa and am about to lead my own group of students from HBU on a trip to Cambodia to volunteer.
I volunteer for PAIR (partnership for the advancement and immersion of refugees).
I am a part of my Bio club, Student Programming Board, and Alpha Epsilon Delta.
I am Secretary of our school's Pre-Dental society.
I write for our school's paper "The Collegian" as a staff writer.
I am Biology major and an English minor.

My high school grades were extremely mediocre, which is a drawback, but I'm hoping that my current GPA will reflect that I have changed my ways :D.

I have many reasons for transferring; HBU, while a prestigious campus, does not offer many opportunities for a Pre-Dental student such as I and there aren't any research opportunities which I can partake in. There are very few classes offered, some of which are being canceled due to professors leaving, and the school isn't very diverse nor does it have language classes I wish to take or study abroad. It's a very small, conservative Christian school and I'm looking for something more liberal.
I fell in love with Tufts a while back. It truly is the school for me. I'll be visiting the campus very soon and I just wanted to be 'chanced'.

So...chance me?
:)
