Chances of getting into U of M Twin Cities?

Hello, I'm a Senior this year, and wants to be accepted into the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Currently, I'm debating if I should try to submit an early admission with an ACT score of 22, 3.75 gpa, and is ranked top 25% of the Senior class. So far, I have only taken 1 Ap and 4 honors; this year I am taking 4 ap classes (Physics, economics, calculus bc, and chemistry) and CIS spanish. However, I'm really worried about my chance of getting admitted because I heard that a score of ACT of at least 25 is needed! Can somebody with experiences of some kind answer my question!?

In addition: Activities I participated: Cross Country, Track and Field, and two years of Robotics (Couldn't do Robotics after the second year because of time conflict with Cross Country season.)

Thanks in Advance,

P.S.: Yes, I tend to approach tests like ACT/SAT very slowly, but I know I could do really good without time pressure >.<

UMN-TC doesn’t have any ACT requirement. However, I would go onto their website and see how you stack up. I think a 22 is pretty low, but if the other parts of your app make up for it, you might be okay. A 3.75 GPA is right on par (probably higher) than the U’s.

Are you in-state?

Yes, in fact, it’s only 15 minutes away from home! :p

Prospects are typically better for in-state students. Also, what school do you plan on applying to within the university?

I’m looking to get into the Science and engineering college.

Typically, those are the more difficult to get into. I would recommend taking the ACT again. What have you got to lose!

Actually, I just took the ACT this morning so…lets hope for the best! Anyway, thank you for all your replies!
