Chances for U of Minn Twin Cities!?

Hello, I'm a Senior this year, and wants to be accepted into the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities or Texas State San Marcos. I've decided to major in Computer Science, and is stuck on which school to attend! On the other hand, I'm also worried whether or not I'll be accepted into either one! Anyway, here's some of my infos:

Ap/CIS taken/currently taking:

Ap Stats, Ap Physics, Ap Economics, CIS Spanish, Ap Calculus BC, Ap Chemistry, and Ap Stats (Got 4 on Ap Test).

Activities:

Cross Country, Track and Field, and two years of FIRST lego robotics.

Gender: Male
Race: Asian
From: Minnesota

ACT: 25, 17(6) writing
GPA: 3.75 (Possibly drop to 3.6 by end of the year)
School Rank: Top 25%

If possible, please answer my questions as soon as possible!

Thanks in Advance,

…

This is not accomplishing anything. The weakest part of your app is the ACT score, but you do have a chance. Unless you think you can raise that (is there time?), don’t worry about things you can’t control. Just apply and see what happens.

I thought of doing that…Am I able to apply now with my current ACT score and reapply again after getting the next ACT score?

You might be allowed to appeal the decision and provide more info… I’m not sure. If you are applying for CSE, that score is low enough that it is a reach. Not impossible, but a reach.

You need to balance applying early with improving that score. You could still submit a last-minute application for the October 23 ACT (though you would have to pay the late fee), but this wouldn’t be worthwhile unless you are confident in your ability to raise the score.

I have applied for the Oct 23 ACT, but to be honest, I am lacking confidence to achieve a higher score because it is the English and the Reading portion that needs improvement. Though I was born in the states, I was only formally introduced to learn English in preschool (Didn’t really learn anything during preschool since I was set aside from the class by the teacher), and struggled to grasp the language until 7-8th grade (Moved to a better, non-racist area).
