Chances of Getting Into UC Berkeley as a Transfer?

im currently a high school student in 11th grade attending college classes. So far i am on track to obtain 60 units by the time i am ready to graduate high school. This means i get to skip a whole two years and go straight in as junior. Yay! My first choice is UC Berkeley, but my college GPA is only a 3.34. I intend to get that up to a 3.6-3.7, as long as i give it my all in every class i take from here on out. I have done some community service, about 40 hours, and hope to get up to 100. I have only had one bad semester in my college classes when it comes to my grades (I got C’s in both of my college classes) , but that was due to severe problems at home. With this basic information what are my chances of getting into UC Berkeley? What else can i do to help my chances by next year?

If you are a HS student, you would not be a transfer applicant for UCB. You would be applying as a Freshman with college credit and your HS and college GPA would both be considered in your application review. What about SAT/ACT scores? EC’s etc… Also are all your college credits UC transferable?

Are your college course grades also posted on your HS transcript?

UCB only uses 10-11th grades in their GPA calculation. What is your UC GPA which includes your dual enrolled college courses?

Post UW UC GPA, Capped Weighted UC GPA and Fully Weighted.

Actually i will be a transfer applicant because i will have 60 transferrable units. I make an appointment with my college counselor every semester and am sure all classes are UC transferrable. My GPA for UC is currently 3.38.

Here is a link for UC transfer GPA’s by major for each UC. You are not competitive with your current GPA for UCB.

will they look at my overall GPA when i am finished with my 60 units? i should have my major’s listed GPA by that point.

They will look at your UC transferable GPA for your major minus Spring grades if you applied for Fall 2017.

Your chances are not great. That’s a fact.

I’m applying for fall 2018
