Chances of getting into UC Davis?

I am currently a junior and finished my first semester. I didn’t do so hot finishing with a 3.9 weighted GPA. These are what my grades look like after my first semester.

AP Stat: C+
AP Chem: B
English 11: A
Spanish 3: A
Debate: A
Honors Pre-Calc/Trig: B+
AP United States History: B

My SAT is a 2020. Math: 700 CR: 670 W: 650. I plan on taking the ACT this year as well hoping for a 35+.

My EC’s include: Speech and Debate, Varsity Track Runner, Volunteer at Church for Vacation Bible Study and Book Club Leader.

My current weighted GPA is a 4.25 with an unweighted GPA of 3.86. After this first semester, my weighted GPA and unweighted GPA will go down but I am not sure just how much. Am I screwed and should just not apply to UC Davis for Biochemistry?

No, you are not “screwed”. You need to calculate your UC GPA at the end of your Junior year

Your UC GPA will give you a better idea of your chances. Your SAT looks competitive and if you write some outstanding essays, you will have a decent chance for an acceptance. Repost when you get your final grades along with all your other Stats, I can give you a better assessment. Good Luck and keep up the good work. Even if UC Davis turns out to be a Reach, I would go ahead and apply.
