Chances of getting into UCF? university of central florida
So getting into ucf is my top priority currently and that is all i think about so what do are my chances of getting into ucf with these stats. i just submitted my application so....

i'm an asian american and

i have a average gpa of 3.33 unweighted. i have no idea how ucf weighs their gpa but if you can help me weigh it, i would greatly appreciate it.
i have taken 15 honors courses in hs, 3 advanced honor courses, and 1 ap course throughout my hs career. out of a total of 24 classes.

i suck at act's and got a score of 21...i know it's horrible to think about but my writing score was a 9 out of 12 which is above average according to my teachers.

im pretty sure i did great on my essay's because they came from my heart....trust me i couldn't stop writing.lol

been involed in extra curricular activities heavily since freshmen year.
Freshmen year- Band and marching band, french club
Sophmore year- band and marching band, french club. middle tn wind band conferences, french honor society
Junior year- Band, Halftimers (hip hop dance team at my school), french club, french honor society, inducted into the national society of high school scholars.
Senior year- Halftimers (captain), French (vice-president), french honor society, Student council (Senior Representative), Beta club, key club international, national society of high school scholars, volunteer at american red cross, this is my hardest year btw, it's crazy and really stressful.

numerous recommendations from several teachers. there's other little things but it's way too much.

participated in a medical program for two years, freshmen and junior year of hs.

so what do you think of my chances of getting into ucf? and if you would please help me weigh my gpa because i have no clue how ucf weighs it. THANKS!

What is your school's weighting of your GPA? I assume that you are in-state (I am also a Floridian).

In my county, it is 4.0 for regular classes and 5.0 for honors or AP level classes. If this is the same for you, then your UCF weighted GPA should be a bit lower than your school's GPA. For example, my school says I have a 4.6 but the FUS system says it's a 4.3.

I don't know how many honors/AP classes you have taken and what you have gotten in them so I have no way of knowing what your weighted GPA would look like.

Your ACT is low, but I wouldn't say it was terrible. I assume you haven't taken the SAT either? Your ECs, on the other hand, look excellent, and I'm sure that UCF will appreciate your recommendations.

Just give me a little more information and I can assess your chances better- many many students from my school have gotten into UCF already so I have an idea of who gets in there. Good luck!!

actually i live in tennessee. but we are on a 4.0 scale no 5.0 so im trying to get it weighted so it should be higher like a 3.9 wieghted hopefully. and i put up there how many honors, advanced honors and ap course i took up on my first post. but i have done exceptionally well in my classes. a's and b's and one c in my pre calculus class. i so regret that but that's it. and i have not taken the sat....it's a little too late but my act score im just going to leave it because im not good at taking those test. i tend to panick a lot when taking them. if you need anything else just message me and thank you for helping me. i really appreciate it. i hope i get in though

oops! sorry, I didn't see that you put that. If you want to try to calculate your weighted GPA, you should give 4.0 to each regular class, 4.5 for honors/advanced honors, and 5.0 for AP credit. I would say that you should be over 4.0 weighted.

At my school, the average GPA is about a 3.7 weighted and the average sat score is around 1200, average act being about 27. (I know this because we publish a little brochure every year with the averages) I know only one student from my school who didn't get into UCF- she has a 2.6 UW I believe with about an 1100.

Your ACT score will put you at a disadvantage- it is well below the average. Your GPA is above the average and that will help you. What is your intended major? Your ECs & essay will also help you like I said before.

I think you have a fair chance of getting in, but I can't make any sort of guarantee since your ACT is so much lower- I don't know how much weight they put on that. What is your economic situation?

well i plan to go into their applied science in their health programs not sure but im really good in science not trying to sound concieted its just something im good at lol typical asian huh. lol but my economic situation....well its really tough in my situation because im involved in these extra curricular activites and i have to help support my mom. with two other brothers so its really hard my mom does not make a lot of money. trust me. so i have a job and i help her a lot. it's getting really hard to keep up with bills for us.
