<p>i submitted my application earlier and was wondering how you got in?</p>

<p>here are my stats...sorry its long. i really want to go to ucf?</p>

<p>Chances of getting into UCF?
So getting into ucf is my top priority currently and that is all i think about so what do are my chances of getting into ucf with these stats. i just submitted my application so.....</p>

<p>i have a average gpa of 3.33 unweighted. i have no idea how ucf weighs their gpa but if you can help me weigh it, i would greatly appreciate it.
i have taken 15 honors courses in hs, 3 advanced honor courses, and 1 ap course throughout my hs career. out of a total of 24 classes.</p>

<p>i suck at act's and got a score of 21...i know it's horrible to think about but my writing score was a 9 out of 12 which is above average according to my teachers.</p>

<p>im pretty sure i did great on my essay's because they came from my heart....trust me i couldn't stop writing.lol</p>

<p>been involed in extra curricular activities heavily since freshmen year.
Freshmen year- Band and marching band, french club
Sophmore year- band and marching band, french club. middle tn wind band conferences, french honor society
Junior year- Band, Halftimers (hip hop dance team at my school), french club, french honor society, inducted into the national society of high school scholars.
Senior year- Halftimers (captain), French (vice-president), french honor society, Student council (Senior Representative), Beta club, key club international, national society of high school scholars, volunteer at american red cross, this is my hardest year btw, it's crazy and really stressful.</p>

<p>numerous recommendations from several teachers. there's other little things but it's way too much.</p>

<p>participated in a medical program for two years, freshmen and junior year of hs.</p>

<p>so what do you think of my chances of getting into ucf? and if you would please help me weigh my gpa because i have no clue how ucf weighs it. THANKS!</p>

<p>Based on kids in my school that have gotten in, I think you have a decent shot of getting in. Your GPA and courseload are pretty average for UCF but the ACT score is a bit low. Your EC's are also quite good as well.</p>

<p>UCF is the University of Central Florida. Pride, your act score (21) is lower than the middle 50% of UCF students, so that hurts your application. As far as the weighted GPA goes- most colleges do not "recalculate" your weighted GPA- they will, however, examine how your high school arrives at assigning points for GPA.</p>

<p>Your EC's seem to have a common thread of band, French, and an interest in the medical field. You seem to be focused in on what you're good at and enjoy, that should bode well for you. However, don't list National Society of High School Scholars- it's the replacement scam for Who's Who of American High School Students. It means nothing- no matter how many Rockefellers are supposedly behind it.</p>

<p>You should talk to students who have been accepted to UCF in years past to get a better grasp of your chances, though.</p>

<p>Talking to past students doesn't quite work for UCF, it, along with the other Florida publics are getting tougher to get in each year, due to a number of factors.</p>

<p>thanks i appreciate it...i have been a bit discouraged becuase i have been rejected by a school not college wise. i was rejected from the tennessee governors academy when they are the ones that asked me to apply my sophmore year of hs. isn't that ridicilous how schools want you to apply but they don't take you. why ask in the first place? thanks though</p>
