Hi, can anyone predict what my chances are to get into UCLA or UCSD?
I am not from US and is applying as an international student.
ACT Composite: 30
Maths: 35
English:26
Reading: 28
Science: 31
SAT Maths2: 760
SAT Physics: 690
Don’t know about GPA because the education system i am in does not count scores as GPA, but what I filled into the application is about 3.8.
My ECs:
Captain of varsity water polo team
Concert master
Chief Organist
Varsity Basketball
Varsity Swimming
Varsity Athletics
Have done some part time summer job
UCLA is a high reach.
UCSD, possibly, if you write a very good essay 
EC’s have nothing that stand out.
Your ACT is right on average with UCSD. If your 3.8 GPA is unweighted, you’ll have a good chance of getting in. If its unweighted/UC GPA, it falls below the average and makes it harder for you to get in. Your ECs aren’t that bad. You seem very devoted, which is what colleges usually look for. Nonetheless, spend time to write good essays!

I don’t really know how to calculate my gpa, cuz my education system does not count grades like this. But I filled in a bunch of Bs and As in the application. Anyone know how UCs review international applicants?
UCLA: Reach
UCSD: Low Reach
Much will depend upon your GPA and your ACT is average for UCSD but low for UCLA. I see a lack of community service or volunteering under your EC’s which may be deterimental.
Good Luck and suggest you have some good backup schools on you list.
Hi! I just want to say that you’ve got to give it a shot. I was a 2100 on the SATs with horrible grades, but somehow, II got accepted by UCSD! Put your best foot forward, and if UCSD thinks you’ll be a good fit - you’ll get in. All the best
