Chances of getting into USC (University of Southern California)

Hey everyone, I'm currently a senior in high school and USC (Marshall) is my dream college! I am from a competitive high school in Tennessee. My GPA is about a 3.72ish unweighted and around 4.22 weighted and that's on the scale of A=93-100 and B=85-92. My class rank is 41 out of 449 students (top 9%). My ACT score is a 29 which probably the weakest aspect of my application. I interviewed with an admissions officer in October (which I believe went well), and followed up by calling and emailing the admissions office who will be reading my application, making sure I express ample interest in the institution. By the time I graduate, I will have taken all of the following AP classes:
AP World History
AP Macroeconomics
AP Microeconomics
AP English Language
AP Environmental Science
AP US History
AP Statistics
AP English Literature
AP Comparative Gov & Politics
AP Spanish
AP US Government
I am in Beta Club, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and Cum Laude Society. I am currently also in Student Government, on my school's Speech and Debate team, and I played golf on the JV team my Junior year. I also served as Vice President of our Spanish Club and Treasurer of our Junior Engineering Technical Society. I also worked at American Eagle Outfitters last year, I am currently a Senior Ambassador, and was on Homecoming Court for two years.
What do you think my chances are of getting into USC? Thanks!

Your ACT score is indeed a little too weak.
USC- high match/low reach

hmmm, you’re ACT scores put you at the 25 percentile of admitees to USC. The AP classes are okay, but your rank is 41 and GPA is rather weak also. Do you do any cool stuff–extracurriculars? Have any passions? Based on the info given, I’d say you have a chance but its a stretch.

Why is USC your dream school? I was admitted but don’t quite love it…could you try to sell me on this?

UW GPA: 3.72 ish (Which direction is the ‘-ish’ heading, up or down?)
ACT 29
Top 10%
Good Rigor

If your ACT were a 32 I’d say you were a likely admit but that 29 puts you below the 25th%-tile. I still think you’ll be accepted but it’s just a bit tentative.
